Ida Ghorbani
Video Content Coordinator
Ida is a rising senior who has always had a passion and curiosity for all things science and art related! She loves animals/nature and is particularly interested in studying astronomy, learning about biology, and combating climate change and injustices. She believes it is incredibly important to advocate for underrepresented groups and hopes to motivate young women to follow their dreams and pursue their interest in this field by being a part of Femme in STEAM - she’s super excited to work with this organization as Video Content Coordinator! When she’s not busy with school work, you can find her spending time with her parrot and cat, reading, creating art and videos, or playing soccer and martial arts!
Eileen Yang

Eileen is a rising sophomore who is interested in programming and math. Creating fun videos are a hobby of hers including dancing and listening to kpop.
Karin Samokovlisky

Karin, while originally from Israel, is a rising senior living in the suburbs of Chicago. She plans to pursue physics and astronomy in her future, as the subjects of how our universe functions just fascinate her a lot. She also loves photography, hiking, and watching loads of movies while analyzing every single detail in them, and that's probably where the passion for video creating comes from!

Kimi Galang Villegas

Kimi Galang Villegas (she/her) is a first-year at UC Berkeley, studying Psychology on the pre-medical track and Theater and Performance Studies on the acting sequence. When she is not in class or on the stage, she volunteers in her community as the Vocal Director for Little Virtuosos Project, a non-profit she and her friends started to educate others on the positive effects music has on mental health and cognitive development. In her free time, she also loves watching Netflix, getting boba, journaling, watching musicals and plays, and spending quality time with her mom and friends. Kimi cannot wait to be part of the Femme in STEAM team!
Meha Goyal
Co-Tutoring Coordinator
Meha is a junior at The Harker School in San Jose, CA. She became passionate about STEM when she was young, aspiring to be a doctor and participating in several school science fairs. She then became interested in computer science in tenth grade now participates in online courses, hackathons, and summer programs. Noticing the gender gap in these subjects, she joined the FEM club as a publicist to promote the inclusion of women in STEM and participated in Speech and Debate to build her communication skills. In her free time, she likes to play basketball, listen to music, and read.
Joyce Paek

Joyce Paek is a rising senior who resides in Orlando, Florida. Her most favorite subjects are Biology and Calculus. Besides working as the Science Workshop Coordinator for Femme in STEAM, you will find her actively encouraging society's youth to pursue their interest of medicine, rigorously working to support other student-led organizations, or learning more about her own culture as a Korean.

Shravani Khisti is a rising senior based in southern California. She is very passionate about neuroscience and space, however, other science topics never fail to pique her curiosity. In her free time, Shravani loves reading sci-fi novels and practicing calligraphy. She enjoys outdoors activities like surfing and biking and loves to spend time with her younger brother and friends.
Jhenesy Lopez

Jhenesy Lopez Fuentes is a rising senior who hopes to major in mathematical science or life science at Westpoint. In her free time she enjoys running, reading, and making a positive impact in her community. She joined Femme in STEAM because she wants to empower women around the world to become involved in STEAM careers! Jhenesy also hopes to encourage minorities to become involved and become role models for younger generations.
Carrie Saney
Curriculum Developer (S)
This is Carrie Saney and she is a rising sophomore at a high school in New Jersey! She goes by pronouns she/her/hers and she is ardent about biology, neuroscience, music, and fashion. Carrie is also very passionate about numerous social justice issues like how healthcare should be free, equality between men and women, racial issues, LGBTQ+ issues, climate change and more! In her free time she codes, plays her viola and double bass, plays field hockey, researches cancer and the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, advocates for African History being implemented in education, and shops a lot!
Angeles Zamorano
Curriculum Developer (S)
Angeles has been passionate about science (more specifically biology) since she was a little girl in elementary school. She is a rising senior who wants to see more female minorities in the steam field and wants to be an example in the future for other women. She is also a water polo player, swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor. She is currently working as a social distancing ambassador where she gets to promote Covid-19 safety guidelines, educate, set an example for others, and reflect on how to improve her community.
Daisy Bissonette

Daisy is a rising sophomore at Princeton University with plans to major in astrophysics on a premed track. She hopes to work with research in the field of space medicine. Outside of academics, she loves to swim (she was a captain of her high school team and is currently on the Princeton club team), read, and kayak. She is super excited to help with developing science workshops for Femme in STEAM!

Shivani is currently a senior at Dougherty Valley High School. Her favorite subjects are computer science and math. In her free time, Shivani loves to create digital designs and develop apps.
Chloe Lam

​Chloe is a hardworking and dedicated rising senior who aspires to learn more about the tech world and strives to constantly improve her skills in technology. In addition to coding, she also likes to play softball, run, and sing. She hopes that her involvement with Femme In STEAM will encourage more participation from girls and others who are underrepresented.
Spriha Singh

Spriha is a STEAM enthusiast; she is interested in math, space exploration, and programming. She is striving to pursue her studies Medical Physics and Artificial Intelligence, for the advancement of creating effective cancer radiation treatments. Some of her other interests include listening to podcasts, volunteering, watching tiktoks, researching to create the perfect skincare routine, embroidery, playing badminton, and hanging out with her friends. She is also deeply passionate about empowering young girls to explore STEAM and closing the gender gap in the STEAM field.

Colleen is a rising senior from CA interested in math, engineering and computer science. She is heavily involved with STEM-related activities in school, but she also loves theatre, embroidery, and baking! She is still on the hunt for the perfect donuts recipe, and in her free time she takes fat naps and drinks berry smoothies.

Hwa-Jin Kwak, a rising senior from Hawaii, enjoys calligraphy, sketching, and making her notes pretty on her iPad! She is currently taking Dual Credit classes at her local community college and at her local High School. Her favorite color is light teal and she loves baking!

Devina is a rising senior from Pennsylvania, and is passionate about science and math education as well as medicine! On the FIS team, she is a Tutor and a Curriculum Developer for Math. In her free time she loves to paint, create music (she plays the piano, violin, and kalimba), and hang out with her family and friends.

Xi Lin, which is pronounced like the letter “Z," is a rising senior in high school. She has a very friendly and outgoing personality. She loves explaining things which is maybe why she loves to help others out on their assignments. She is a very ambitious and optimistic person. In her free time, she hangs out with her siblings to play sports. She also reads books or listens to music during her free time.

Elizabeth Insuasti is a rising sophomore from South Florida, and her academic interests in STEAM are chemistry and mathematics. Additionally, she is passionate about social change, literature, film, screenwriting, law, and community impact. She is heavily involved in her local community, volunteering at numerous non-profit organizations she believes in, and in her free time, she loves to watch movies, listen to music, write, read, and bake. Elizabeth is excited to work with Femme in STEAM and hopes to make a positive impact through this initiative.
